THE GREAT ZAMBIAN SAFARI. 

21 DAYS/20NIGHTS

DAY 1
Lilayi Lodge in Lusaka

On arrival by road we will send you instructions on how to get to Lilayi Lodge where you will spend you first night but if you arrive in Lusaka by air you will be met by our representative at Lusaka international airport and transfer you to Lilayi Lodge for one night stay on Full board basis. Our guide or our senior representative will meet you in the evening over dinner and go through your program. This enables our clients to check up on any last minute questions

Day 2,3
Kasanka National Park

You driver and guide will come to collect you for your transfer from Lusaka to Kasanka. This is a 6 hours road transfer  (we sometime fly our clients instead of transferring them by road) passing through the following major towns namely Kabwe, Kapiri Mposhi, Mpika and Serenje.  Accommodation is at either Luwombwa or Wasa camp.

DAY 4
Bangweulu Water Wildeness

This is 5 hours road transfer to Bangweulu the Bangweulu Swamps and accommodation is at Shoebill Island Camp

DAY 6,7
Shiwa Ngandu

Transfer by road (Another 5 hours road Transfer passing through some of Zambia's spectacular areas) to Shiwa Ngandu for a few days stay at Kapishya Hot Springs

DAY 8,9,10
North Luangwa National Park

Road transfer to North Luangwa National Park for 3 nights stay at Buffalo Camp

DAY 11
Air transfer to Mfuwe Airport near The South Luangwa National Park.

 DAY 12
Overnight in Lusaka at Lilayi Lodge

DAY 13
Livingstone – The Victoria Falls

Clients fly to Lusaka and on arrival they are met and transferred to Livingstone by either road or air depending on availability .
On arrival in Livingstone you are met and transferred to one of the fine lodges in Livingstone. (Accommodation at either, Chundukwa River Lodge, Natural Mystic Lodge, Taita Falcon Lodge, the Zambezi Water or Thorn Tree Lodge. Other lodges are available at extra costs)

DAY 14
Livingstone – The Victoria Falls

Still in Livingstone continuing with activities such the Visit to the Victoria Falls, The Rhino trail and many other activities such as
White water rafting full day US $95.00 per person.
Bunji Jumping  US $95.00; Flight of angels over the falls US $85.00 for 15 minutes per person; Sundown cruise near the falls US $50.00

DAY 16
Lusaka

Afternoon air transfer to Lusaka for over night

DAY 17
Lower Zambezi

Transfer by road followed by boat)  to the Lower Zambezi National Park for 4 nights in one of the fine lodges in this area. Our clients have also have an option of either going on 3 nights canoeing safari or just stay in either Chiawa Camp, Kayila Lodge, Royal Zambei Lodge, Kalefu, Kiubo or Cuito Lodges and undertake daily safaris which range from Boating, canoeing, fishing or just game drives.

Canoeing Daily Routine and Meals
Canoeing parties start off early after morning tea/coffee and biscuits to make the most of the cool time of the day. A full English breakfast is served between 0830hrs - 0900hrs. Lunches consist of cold meats, cheese and salads with fruit in season. Lunch is served between 1300hrs - 1400hrs under shade. A short siesta before canoeing onto the evening camp which is reached between 1630hrs - 1800hrs. In most instances camps are set up on islands. Evening dinner consists of a meat dish with vegetables, rice, potatoes etc. Dietary requirements and references can be catered for if notified in advance.

Drinks
Cordials are provided with treated water throughout the day, whilst wine is offered with the evening meals. The guests prior to the safari should buy any extra drinks. Sufficient cooler box space is provided for this.

Guides and Assistance
A qualified canoe guide who assists in setting up camps and preparing meals leads all canoe trips and safaris. Guests paddles between the stopping points, while the remainder of there times is left to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The guide has qualified through the Department of National Parks and holds a river guides license.
