Kaingu
Lodge is situated on one of Africa's great rivers, the Kafue, some 200 km
upstream from its confluence with the Zambezi and 400kms north of Victoria
Falls
The
main camp of Kaingu Lodge comprises one family House and four luxurious
appointed East African en-suite safari tents under thatch and placed on
raised wooden platforms overlooking the river. Each unit has a spacious
bathroom and unique outdoor shower. They are carefully positioned to ensure
privacy, safety and harmony with the surrounding vegetation.
We are
an activities based river lodge where there is no shortage of things to keep
you busy, but it is you who sets the pace. You may want to sit back and
relax and enjoy the environment. If you prefer, you can always find a
private spot to read a book or reconnect with your soul.
Otherwise Kaingu offers Guided walks, River walks, Fishing excursions, Game
viewing, Sundowner excursions, Specialist birding, Butterfly walks,
Archaeological and historical outings, Island explorations, Cultural visits
to local villages to view and experience the daily lifestyle of local
communities. Visits to Mabiya Hot Springs, Livingstone style portered two
day walks wit overnight stay in our bush camp or rubber raft expeditions
down the Kafue for 1, 2 or more days.
