Isanga Bay Lodge is situated on the shores of
the vast Lake Tanganyika on Zambia's northern most border.
The spectacular Kalambo Falls, the second
highest in Africa, are nearby and make a popular hike.
Lying 18 km along the Lake coast, north of
the town of Mpulungu, access is by boat, which
takes about 30 minutes.
This is a place to
relax and enjoy the spectacular views over this huge ocean-like Lake, while you savour the delights of the calm waters,
swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing,
water skiing and more.
In front of the
lodge is an expansive white beach shaded with palm trees
overlooking the bay.
We offer
personalised, friendly hospitality at this off the beaten
track gem in the heart of remote Africa.

There are 3 chalets on the beach that have a
beach and lake view.
The 3 rondavels on the other side
have no beach, but overlook the rocks with amazing views
out to the lake
Lake.
These chalets are built with rock and are thatched.
The Lodge
sleeps only 20 people and
all rooms are a couple of minutes
away from the beach.
Rates include 3
meals per day.
We cater for special dietary
requirements when we are informed well in advance.
Our specialty is delicious fresh fish from the lake - Nile
perch and Nkupi (Yellow belly, a type of bream).
There is no menu, but we check always if the choice
for the day is acceptable to each guest and tailor
make it to suit all tastes. Dining times are flexible,
when there are not more than 2 groups. Requests for favourite foods
are encouraged.
